Scandinavia Part I

Finally back with some content from our roadtrip through Scandinavia. Throughout our three week long journey we explored Denmark, Sweden and Norway. We started off in Hamburg and drove up to Copenhagen. The first two out of six Scandinavia posts are all about the danish capital.

Louisiana Museum Of Modern Art:
A pearl of beauty and curiosities.

Our first day distance was pretty much clear. Making all the way from Hamburg to Copenhagen within fours hours. 350 kilometres that we did in five hours due to a big congestion. Anyway, we made it! So what was on within the first 24 hours. It was something connected to our passion in modern art that we share. That’s why we went to Louisiana Museum Of Modern Art, located 30 kilometres north from Copenhagen. Best known for the unreal location of the museum as well as through the excellent artists whose works are exhibited there. You’ll find everything.

We had the pleasure to see “Illumination”, a project of just almost contemporary art at Louisiana including more than 70 artists from all around the world like Franz West, Cindy Sherman, Andreas Gursky, Julie Mehretu Alex Da Corte, Tacita Dean and many more. From well known to completly unknown young artists. The collections of Louisanas exhibtions always cater for all tastes. From the art expert, to the curiosity-seekers. Pablo Picasso, Jeff Wall, Yayoi Kusama,  Anri Sala. Just have a look at the recent exhibitions. You not get around visiting Louisiana if you are interested in modern art!
